Live GPS interference map: where GPS is being jammed or spoofed

Today's summary

As of 22 October 2026, 05:05 UTC, covering the previous 24 hours: 171 of 1,977 map hexes with enough air traffic (9%) show high interference, where more than 10% of aircraft reported low GPS accuracy, and 206 more show medium interference (3–10%).

The most affected regions, by number of high-interference hexes, are Eastern Europe (39), the Baltic Sea (37), the Middle East (4), the Eastern Mediterranean (3) and the Black Sea (2). Another 88 high-interference hexes lie outside these regions.

• Conflict jamming. Armed forces may jam or spoof navigation signals near conflict zones and sensitive sites. See the dated reporting on the Russia–Ukraine war and Middle East.
• Illegal jammers and spoofing. Unauthorised transmitters can drown out real signals or broadcast fakes.
• Space weather. Solar activity can disturb the ionosphere and degrade satellite navigation, especially at high latitudes.
• Tests and exercises. Authorised jamming trials and military exercises can temporarily affect navigation.
• Aircraft and equipment. Receiver, installation or antenna problems can also produce low accuracy reports.
