South and Southeast Asia today: 32.5% of monitored areas are affected.

Background

Regional aviation bodies now treat GNSS interference as an urgent priority, though a 2026 paper to Asia-Pacific aviation chiefs says reporting to ICAO's regional office has been thin (Bangladesh, ICAO paper, 2026). An IATA presentation in 2025 named Delhi, Lahore, Yangon and Singapore among the places where Airbus aircraft lost a navigation mode after jamming in cruise (IATA, ICAO symposium, 2025), and Malaysia's regulator ranks the Yangon, Delhi and Lahore flight regions in its top ten (CAAM, ICAO symposium, 2025).

The largest published counts come from India, with 1,951 cases between November 2023 and November 2025 (GPS World, December 2025), and the best-documented single event from Jakarta, where suspected jamming affected 44 flights on 8 April 2026 (Indonesia, ICAO paper, 2026). Most of these sources name no cause or transmitter.
