GPS jamming in Cambodia today

Cambodia today: 47.6% of monitored areas are affected.

Background

We found no published report of GPS interference recorded in Cambodian airspace, and no statement on it from Cambodia's aviation authority. During the fighting on the Thai border in July 2025, OPSGROUP warned overflights of risk from unannounced military activity, including GPS interference, but described it as possible and not as something that had been reported (OPSGROUP, July 2025).

Thailand's notice of the same month about rising interference in its own airspace does not mention Cambodia or the border; it points to flights to and from the west (Thailand AIC 05/25, 2025). Any readings on the map here come from aircraft reports alone, with no published explanation behind them. For the reporting on interference in Cambodia, and who it is attributed to, see: South and Southeast Asia.

Only hexagons whose centre lies inside Cambodia's borders are counted, so hexagons in neighbouring countries and out at sea are left out. The map is framed on 10.4 to 14.7 and 102.3 to 107.7.

Cities and airports

Too few aircraft flew within 100 km of Phnom Penh and Siem Reap for a figure today.

Cambodia: with few aircraft, one report can give a hexagon a high share; see the limitations.

By altitude

Cambodia: No clear altitude pattern. How this is read.

Cambodia: an aircraft is counted in each layer it crosses, so the rows do not add up.
