GPS jamming in Singapore today
Last updated:
Background
An IATA presentation at an ICAO symposium in April 2025 listed Singapore among the places where Airbus aircraft lost their primary navigation mode after GNSS jamming in cruise, along with Delhi, Lahore, Yangon, Ankara and Hong Kong (IATA, ICAO symposium, 2025). It gives no dates or counts, and we found no published report that identifies a source near Singapore.
Singapore has proposed a group to coordinate work on GNSS interference across ICAO's Asia-Pacific bodies (Bangladesh, ICAO paper, 2026). The island covers only a cell or two of this map's hexagons, so the figure for the area around Changi below says more than the country's own total. For the reporting on interference in Singapore, and who it is attributed to, see: South and Southeast Asia.
Only hexagons whose centre lies inside Singapore's borders are counted, so hexagons in neighbouring countries and out at sea are left out. The map is framed on 1.15 to 1.48 and 103.6 to 104.1.
