Indonesia today: 40.0% of monitored areas are affected.

Background

Indonesia told ICAO that suspected GNSS jamming on 8 April 2026 affected 44 flights by seven operators for about three hours, during arrivals at Jakarta's Soekarno-Hatta and departures from Halim Perdanakusuma (Indonesia, ICAO paper, 2026). Monitoring showed poor position integrity on 39 of 112 tracked flights, and controllers suspended satellite-based approaches to one runway, reverted to ILS and vectored aircraft by radar (Indonesia, ICAO paper, 2026). The same paper lists lost-signal reports on 21 and 22 November 2025, and describes work with spectrum and cyber agencies to locate the source without naming one (Indonesia, ICAO paper, 2026).

Indonesia's aviation directorate has since issued a circular on reporting and managing such events (Indonesia, ICAO paper, 2026)(Indonesia, ICAO DGCA paper, 2026). RRI reported warnings of interference from 8 to 13 April and a recurrence on 5 and 6 May, with a member of parliament calling for an investigation that would cover possible intent; its figure of at least 52 flights is given as circulating information, not an official count (RRI, May 2026). For the reporting on interference in Indonesia, and who it is attributed to, see: South and Southeast Asia.

Only hexagons whose centre lies inside Indonesia's borders are counted, so hexagons in neighbouring countries and out at sea are left out. The map is framed on -11 to 6.1 and 95 to 141.1.

By altitude

Indonesia: No clear altitude pattern. How this is read.
