GPS jamming in Algeria today

Algeria today: 0.0% of monitored areas are affected.

Background

Published reporting on GPS interference in Algerian airspace is scarce: we found no statement from the air navigation agency, ENNA, and no incident report. The Algiers region was part of the area IATA covered in a November 2024 presentation to an ICAO safety summit, which gives no result for Algeria on its own (IATA, November 2024).

EASA's tables from 14 October 2026 leave out Algiers (EASA, October 2026). Algeria was also one of the 54 states on whose behalf the African Civil Aviation Commission asked ICAO in 2022 to help resolve interference (ICAO A41-WP/304, 2022). Readings here show what aircraft reported over the country, with no published explanation behind them. For the reporting on interference in Algeria, and who it is attributed to, see: Africa.

Only hexagons whose centre lies inside Algeria's borders are counted, so hexagons in neighbouring countries and out at sea are left out. The map is framed on 18.9 to 37.2 and -8.7 to 12.

By altitude

Algeria: No clear altitude pattern. How this is read.

Algeria: an aircraft is counted in each layer it crosses, so the rows do not add up.
