GPS jamming in Tunisia today
Last updated:
Tunisia today: 6.3% of monitored areas are affected.
Background
We found no statement from Tunisia's civil aviation or airports authorities on GPS interference. Tunis was within the geographic scope of an IATA analysis shown to a regional safety summit in November 2024, though the slides report nothing specific to it (IATA, November 2024).
The nearest published warning concerns its neighbour: an EASA guide for operators from 2023 gives the northern part of the Tripoli flight region in Libya as an example of a jamming or spoofing area (EASA, 2023). Tunis itself is not in EASA's tables of 14 October 2026 (EASA, October 2026), so readings on this page rest on aircraft reports alone. For the reporting on interference in Tunisia, and who it is attributed to, see: Africa.
Only hexagons whose centre lies inside Tunisia's borders are counted, so hexagons in neighbouring countries and out at sea are left out. The map is framed on 30.2 to 37.6 and 7.5 to 11.7.
